Phone Screener
Must-have:LeadRemote
Your tasks
Summary A candidate's application becomes a short phone conversation, then a clear next step. You work through incoming candidate lists and call people who have applied. During each call, you check basic fit and record answers for the recruiter. Your goal is to make each call clear and each interview booking accurate. A recruiting team lead explains the screening rules and supports you with difficult questions. You work from home in this fully remote position. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare basic fit questions using the recruiter's call outline. Open candidate lists in an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse and plan calls.
- Call applicants through a business phone system such as Aircall. Introduce yourself calmly and explain why you are calling before asking questions.
- Ask about interest, availability, a quiet workspace, and spoken English. Listen carefully and record answers without adding your own assumptions.
- Explain the next step in simple words. Use the recruiter's rules to mark candidates ready, not now, or not a fit.
- Book ready candidates with recruiters using a scheduling tool such as Microsoft Outlook. Confirm the interview date and time before ending the call.
- Send a short interview reminder through the approved process. Call candidates who miss an interview and help arrange another suitable time.
- Record each call result, key answers, and next action. Keep notes clear enough for another team member to understand the candidate's progress.
- Share completed screening notes with the recruiter before the interview. Highlight unanswered questions so the recruiter can prepare for the conversation.
- Answer simple candidate questions from approved information. Pass questions beyond your guidance to the recruiting team lead for a clear response.
- Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and withdrawals. Keep candidate information private and treat everyone politely, including people who are not moving forward.
- Meet quality standards through accurate notes, polite calls, correct bookings, and quick follow-up. Use feedback to improve the next candidate's experience.

- Care with names, call notes, interview dates, and times when updating candidate information after each conversation.
- Respect for candidate privacy and care when sharing screening notes only with the appropriate recruiting team members.
