Interview Setter
Your tasks
Summary Begin your day by checking which candidates need interviews and which recruiter calendar spaces are open. Applications and requests from recruiters supply your candidate list. You call each person, check interest, and help them choose an interview time. The aim is to turn each agreed booking into a clear plan that both sides can follow. A recruiting team lead helps you organize priorities and resolve questions about the booking process. This fully remote position allows you to work from home while handling candidate calls and interview calendars. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Review incoming candidate lists in an applicant tracking system such as Lever, alongside available interview spaces on recruiter calendars.
- Plan your call order around pending bookings, requested callbacks, and interview changes, using the recruiting team lead's priorities.
- Call candidates through a business phone system or dialer such as Dialpad. Introduce yourself and explain why you are calling.
- Ask brief questions about interest and availability. Note the answers clearly so recruiters can understand what each candidate needs next.
- Suggest two or three available interview times using a scheduling and calendar tool such as Calendly. Book the candidate's chosen time.
- Confirm the interview date, time, and agreed contact method before ending the call. Explain the next step in simple words.
- Send short interview reminders and check that candidates understand the arrangements. Use approved information when answering basic questions.
- Call candidates again after missed interviews and arrange another suitable time when a candidate or recruiter cannot attend.
- Update each applicant tracking entry after calls and bookings. Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and withdrawals while keeping candidate information private.
- Share booked interviews and daily booking counts with recruiters. Pass complete notes and unresolved questions to the recruiting team lead.
- Maintain quality through accurate bookings, polite calls, complete notes, and quick follow-up. Check calendar entries against your call notes.
Requirements
- Professional spoken and written English, because calls are generally with candidates and teams in the United States.
- A computer, a mobile phone, a stable internet connection, and reliable electricity.
- No recruiting experience is required. Related phone support, customer service, scheduling, or administrative experience is preferred.
- A calm, friendly phone manner that helps candidates understand questions and feel comfortable asking for clarification.
- Willingness to learn the applicant tracking, phone, and calendar tools named above through guided practice and feedback.
- Care when checking names, interview dates, and times, with clear notes that another team member can easily follow.
- Basic understanding of interview scheduling, including confirmations, reminders, missed appointments, and changes to an agreed booking.
- Respect for candidate privacy when reading application information, writing call notes, and sharing interview arrangements with recruiters.
- Ability to follow approved call guides, listen closely, and ask the recruiting team lead when an answer is unclear.
