Customer Relations Representative
Your tasks
Summary Customers ask what happens next, why an order has changed, or how to use a service. You give clear replies, check their understanding, and help them reach a useful next step. Incoming calls and customer follow-up lists bring the work to you. Your goal is to solve simple concerns and maintain helpful contact until open questions have answers. A customer service team lead provides guidance, reviews your calls, and supports you with harder concerns. In this fully remote position, you work from home and stay connected with the team. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Review customer follow-up lists and waiting calls in a CRM such as Salesforce, a system storing customer details. Plan which customers need help first.
- Receive and make customer calls through a business phone system such as RingCentral, a tool for handling calls. Introduce yourself and explain why you are calling.
- Listen to each concern before replying. Ask short questions to understand missing details and avoid making assumptions about the answer.
- Use approved reference notes to explain services, products, orders, and next steps. Check that the customer understands your reply.
- Resolve simple issues during the call where possible. Ask the customer whether the answer has addressed their concern before ending.
- Stay polite when customers sound upset or hurried. Acknowledge their concern and explain the next action without making promises.
- Add notes after every call, including the question, answer, and next step. Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and do-not-call requests.
- Send unanswered questions to the customer service team lead with a short summary. Explain what you have already checked.
- Return calls when customers are waiting for an answer. Confirm the issue is resolved before marking the record complete.
- Share daily call counts and common questions with the team. Practice call outlines and use coaching feedback in later conversations.
- Quality is judged through accurate notes, polite calls, quick follow-up, and complete records. Review your entries for missing next steps.
