Candidate Engagement Associate
Your tasks
Summary Use friendly calls and clear messages to help candidates understand their progress and feel heard. Applications and recruiter requests become candidate lists for your phone conversations. You check interest, ask basic questions, arrange interviews, and maintain contact at each stage. Your aim is to reduce confusion and help candidates complete their next step. A recruiting team lead explains priorities, reviews your notes, and supports difficult questions. The role is fully remote, and you work from home while keeping in touch with candidates. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Review incoming candidate lists in an applicant tracking system such as Workable, a tool that stores candidate details and progress.
- Plan your call order around new contacts, requested callbacks, and unfinished steps, so candidates receive clear and timely updates.
- Call candidates through a business phone system or dialer such as Aircall. Introduce yourself and explain why you are calling.
- Share the role's main points using approved notes. Ask about interest, availability, and basic fit, then record the answers clearly.
- Keep regular contact at every stage. Return requested calls, check unfinished steps, and explain what the candidate needs to do next.
- Arrange recruiter interviews using a scheduling and calendar tool such as Google Calendar. Check available spaces and confirm the chosen booking.
- Send short reminders with the agreed interview details. Contact candidates after missed interviews and help arrange another suitable time.
- Answer simple questions using approved information. Bring unfamiliar questions to the recruiting team lead and return with a clear response.
- Record each call result, answers, and next action. Share useful notes with the recruiter before the candidate's interview takes place.
- Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and withdrawals. Share daily call counts and booked interviews with the recruiting team.
- Meet quality standards through accurate notes, polite calls, quick follow-up, and steady daily call activity. Check bookings before confirming them.
Requirements
- Professional spoken and written English, because calls are generally with candidates and teams in the United States.
- A computer, a mobile phone, a stable internet connection, and reliable electricity.
- No recruiting experience required. Phone support, customer service, or interview scheduling experience is preferred, but not needed to begin.
- A calm, friendly phone voice and the ability to explain a next step without rushing the candidate.
- Willingness to learn the named candidate tracking, phone, and calendar tools through guided practice and clear instructions.
- Ability to follow an approved question guide, listen carefully, and write short notes that reflect the candidate's answers.
- Care when checking names, interview dates, booking details, and reminders before sharing information with candidates or recruiters.
- Respect for candidate privacy, including keeping candidate information within the tools and channels approved by the recruiting team.
- Willingness to ask for guidance, use feedback, and keep candidates informed when a question needs another person's help.
