Job description:
We're looking for a Financial Analyst who is sharp with numbers and comfortable with financial language. You'll help turn our budgets, forecasts and performance data into insights the business can act on.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the annual budget process, prepare rolling forecasts and monthly budget-vs-actual reports, and work as the day-to-day finance partner to department heads across the business.
What You'll Do
Coordinate the annual budget cycle and combine departmental submissions (revenue, cost of sales, opex and capex) into the Master Budget.
Prepare quarterly rolling forecasts and the monthly cash flow and working capital budget.
Own the monthly Budget vs. Actual report by cost centre, and lead variance analysis and escalation.
Track KPIs such as gross margin, opex ratio and channel sales contribution, and give forward-looking commentary.
Support capex evaluation, including payback and return calculations.
Work with Sales, Operations and Commercial teams to give leadership clear, decision-ready analysis.
Improve our budgeting templates, financial models and reporting processes.
What You'll Bring
B.Sc. in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
3–5 years' experience in FP&A, budgeting or commercial finance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A solid grounding in numbers, confident use of financial terms, and an understanding of variance, trend and margin analysis.
Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, and comfort presenting to senior leaders.
Good organisation and the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
Added Advantage
A professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent, part- or fully qualified).
Experience in retail or FMCG.
Working knowledge of Power BI or a similar BI tool, and of ERP/accounting systems.
