HOSPITAL AIDE

The Food Service Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation, portioning, handling, distribution, and serving of meals to patients, hospital personnel, and authorized individuals. The position ensures that food is handled safely and hygienically and that patient meals are delivered accurately and on time in accordance with hospital policies, food safety standards, and dietary instructions.

Qualifications/Requirements: At least High School Graduate; vocational or food service-related training is an advantage. Preferably with experience in food service, kitchen operations, catering, hotel/restaurant, or hospital food service. Knowledge of basic food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling practices. Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, and carrying food trays and supplies. Responsible, reliable, clean, and well-groomed. Must have good personal hygiene and observe proper sanitation practices. Patient, courteous, and respectful when interacting with patients, hospital staff, and visitors. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by hospital operations. Willing to comply with hospital policies, health requirements, and infection-control protocols.
