Footwear Buyer Description

Job Mission: Perform the purchase and selection of products by season, management, and planning of the product collection according to each category and assigned budget to make the best decisions while protecting the profitability of the business.

What will your main functions be?

1. Analyze historical sales, price, sales, movement, forecasts, Inventories, supply, demand, sourcing, competition, commercial trends, and dealings with suppliers to make better purchasing decisions.
2. Select the product collection and samples to be presented in the catalog, as well as prepare the purchase proposal for General Management for their approval.
3. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain exclusive items or proprietary developments.
4. Generate and follow up on purchase orders and seasonal planning for better decision-making regarding product renewal or discontinuation.
5. Comply with the work schedule for the preparation of the catalog for each season.
6. Perform continuous store visits to verify supplies, commercial strategies for merchandise placement, surveys with partners and the sales team to detect needs and tastes, and to see how to improve service.
7. Work together with ecommerce and market places to have the ideal products for the channel, as well as the timely and correct exhibition of launches.

What do you need to apply?

• 3 years of experience in the selection and purchase of footwear, clothing, and accessory products by category, sales analysis (historical, prices, movement, projections, and forecasts), inventories, supply, demand, sourcing, competition, commercial trends, and dealings with suppliers.
• Knowledge, languages, technical requirements, equipment, or required software: Intermediate-advanced English, Office management (advanced Excel), Adobe Suite, Must have a valid VISA and Passport. Minimum required education: Completed Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, or economic-administrative areas.

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday full-time and one Saturday shift per month. Store visits once a week.
