Role Purpose

Lead PCSS’s communications, community engagement and partnership initiatives to strengthen public awareness, stakeholder relationships and support for our services and beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication and engagement plans aligned with PCSS’s priorities.
  • Manage the website, social media, newsletters, publications, campaigns and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop compelling content, impact stories and publicity materials while maintaining consistent branding and messaging.
  • Support media enquiries and issue or crisis communications with management.
  • Monitor communication performance and recommend improvements.
  • Plan and deliver community outreach activities, campaigns, roadshows and events.
  • Work with service teams to understand community needs and accurately represent PCSS’s programmes.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with corporations, churches, schools, community groups, public agencies, funders and social service partners.
  • Develop partnership proposals and presentations, follow up on commitments, maintain records and monitor outcomes.
  • Supervise team members and manage projects, budgets, procurement and vendors.
  • Report on outcomes and risks, and ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, Community Development or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience, including supervisory or project-leadership experience.
  • Strong writing, presentation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in digital communications, social media, branding and campaign execution.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the social service, non-profit or community sector is advantageous.
  • Willingness to support activities outside regular office hours when required.
