R&D Supervisor JR - Dourado/SP

Responsibilities and assignments

Product and Ingredient Development; Supervise all stages of new product development and coordinate the validation of new ingredients in interface with procurement, including supplier visits, analysis of technical data sheets, and monitoring animal evaluations;

Project Management and Continuous Improvement; Plan and monitor continuous improvement and cost optimization projects, developing action plans, distributing responsibilities, and monitoring the fulfillment of stages;

Methodologies and Technical Protocols; Support the development of new methodologies and analytical protocols, evaluating feasibility and costs, ensuring correct application by the team, and ensuring the incorporation of animal welfare guidelines into testing protocols;

Practical application of processes and studies; Monitoring, guidance, and execution of technical-practical projects, acting in manufacturing processes and monitoring animals used in experimental studies;

Technical Team Management; Guide, train, and monitor team performance, promoting technical development, standardization of procedures, and alignment of deliveries with management guidelines;

Knowledge Generation and Reports; Supervise the tabulation and interpretation of experimental data and collaborate in the preparation of technical reports, contributing to compliance with Lei do Bem requirements;

Regulatory Affairs; Provide support to the regulatory affairs department related to MAPA, providing technical information and maintaining the documentation necessary for compliance with current legislation;

Training and Technical Materials; Conduct training and prepare technical materials for internal areas, ensuring the uniformity of information, and collaborate in the production of scientific works for national and international congresses;

Document Supervision; Evaluate, together with the team, technical documents (such as sketches), ensuring quality, accuracy of information, and compliance with delivery deadlines.

Requirements and qualifications

Higher education completed in Veterinary Medicine, Zootecnia, Food Engineering, Nutrition, or related areas; Indispensable: Master's degree in Dog and Cat Nutrition; Desirable: Residency or Specialization in Dog and Cat Nutrition and Doctorate; Previous experience in product development in the animal nutrition industry (preferably pet food); Technical knowledge in formulation, ingredients, manufacturing processes of dry and wet foods, laboratory analysis, and animal testing; Mandatory knowledge of English and possession of a category B driver's license with driving practice; Availability to work in an in-person format; Reside in Dourado/SP and/or region.
