Drafter Furniture

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train and supervise a junior technical drafting team
• Supervise, develop and prepare manufacturing drawings based on the Designer's 3D rendering concepts, specifications and other data
• Supervise and prepare assembly instructions and layout drawings
• Oversee and prepare material requirements for purchasing using Microsoft Excel
• Work in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager and Production Department with documentation/engineering and product issues in the factory
• Have strong team-oriented skills with the ability to also work independently and meet deadlines

SKILLS

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles
• Ability to think in terms of manufacturable products
• Experience in the furniture industry is a strong advantage
