Industrial Buyer (M/F)

PRECISION MECANIQUE DE BRIVE is a precision mechanics company with over 50 years of experience. It manufactures complex parts in small and medium series for clients in the aeronautics, defense, and industry sectors.

The company is part of the ODYSSEE TECHNOLOGIES group, a recognized French player in precision mechanics.

Job Description:

Reporting to the site manager and working closely with the sales, ADV, methods, production, and quality departments, you will be in charge of technical purchasing (production and non-production) and managing lead times with suppliers and subcontractors.

You will operate in a precision mechanical machining environment with long manufacturing cycles.

Main Missions:

• Guarantee the quality, compliance, and traceability of purchased products and services according to technical specifications.
• Manage purchasing in line with cost, quality, and lead time objectives.
• Ensure the monitoring and securing of supplier and subcontractor schedules.
• Manage long product cycles (6 to 18 months), anticipate risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage industrial subcontracting (heat treatments, surface treatments, custom machining).
• Participate in cost optimization and the improvement of the supplier panel.
• Conduct supplier audits in collaboration with the quality department.
• Assist internal departments (methods, production, quality, assembly, testing, sales).

Activities:

• Organization of consultations and negotiations.
• Drafting and monitoring of orders and purchase orders.
• Monitoring orders until final delivery.
• Supplier follow-ups and management of lead time deviations.
• Supervision of receptions (quality, quantities, lead times).
• Evaluation and qualification of suppliers.

Profile Sought:

• Training in mechanics, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of machining processes and industrial subcontracting.
• Ability to manage supplier lead times over long cycles.
• Professional English required.
• Rigor, analytical spirit, and sense of priorities.
• Beginners accepted if they have solid technical foundations.
