Formulation Chemist

Formulation Chemist Job Mission Develop product solutions by analyzing different alternatives that meet customer requirements, regulatory and normative guidelines, guaranteeing quality, cost, and target times, as requested in the development brief.

Main Functions Document management and regulatory compliance Comply with manuals, procedures, records, and controls associated with the process and the role, in coherence with the integrated management systems (Quality, BPM, SST). Manage the creation, update, approval, and traceability of required documentation: project progress in applications, technical data sheets, bills of materials, external-technical documents, among others.

Development and formulation Define the quali-quantitative formula of each product and perform updates when required. Manage evaluation criteria in Office Test, use tests, and sample preparation. Define evaluation criteria for product safety and efficacy and request the execution of studies when applicable. Manage manufacturing trials and ensure optimal conditions during their execution.

Material control and analysis Guarantee the correct management of Kardex for raw materials, bulk products, samples in ovens, and reserves. Manage the analysis of new raw materials prior to coding in SAP. Perform functional support tests, physicochemical and/or microbiological analyses in the bulk phases, and issue a technical concept of approval or rejection.

Risk management and continuous improvement Perform risk analyses and manage the resulting actions. Participate in improvement programs and identify optimization opportunities in the processes. Manage the implementation of Prebel analysis methodologies for laboratory management and stability. Comply with and follow up on actions derived from CAPAs.

Additional management Fill in the corresponding bulk information in the cost sheets. Manage activities and resources necessary for manufacturing trials and tests.

Academic Background Professional in Química Farmacéutica, Ingeniería Química, or related careers.

Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in: Good Manufacturing Practices (pharmaceutical or cosmetic sectors). Regulatory framework of the cosmetic sector. Process scaling. Handling of office tools.

Desirable experience in companies in the cosmetic, food, cleaning, or pharmaceutical sectors.

Languages English level B2 (indispensable).
