Packaging Engineer

Position: Packaging Engineer Job Mission Create packaging, promotional, and/or finished product solutions through the analysis of different alternatives, ensuring compliance with customer, normative, and regulatory requirements in terms of quality, cost, and target time. Main Functions

Guarantee the correct performance of packaging materials and/or finished products through technical analysis, dimensional, and functional testing.

Develop functional packaging analysis through testing in real filling conditions.

Develop and evaluate packaging and/or finished product suppliers, considering functionality, cost, and quality, in order to have a wide portfolio for customers.

Define technical specifications for supplies and finished products, ensuring their correct functioning.

Establish technical parameters for packaging processes that guarantee compliance with the required standards.

Define, execute, and monitor action plans derived from CAPA, self-inspections, audits, and claims.

Participate in the management of obsolescence plans derived from product changes.

Document product development in the ERP system (SAP) and other area tools.

Guarantee product measurements and volumetry according to established parameters.

Know and apply GS1 standards, ensuring compliance in the creation and modification of references.

Academic Background Professional in:

Mechanical Engineering

Product Design Engineering

Industrial Design Engineering

Or related careers

Requirements

English level: B2 – C1 (indispensable)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in:

New product development

Packaging engineering

Production, quality, or project management

Mold development or similar processes

3 years of experience in companies within the sector:

Cosmetic

Pharmaceutical

Food

Knowledge in packaging development and design:

Plastic, glass, aerosols, cardboard, flexibles, among others
