Job Description
PPL Accounting & Consultancy Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant / Accounts Executive to join our team.
The successful candidate will support the Group's internal accounting functions, manage a portfolio of external accounting clients, and provide accounting and operational support for fund administration activities.
The role covers full sets of accounts, financial reporting, bookkeeping, GST and tax matters, XBRL filing, reconciliations, fund accounting support and other finance-related responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who is organised, responsible, analytical and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Internal Accounting
- Handle full sets of accounts for Group companies, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and related accounting functions
- Prepare monthly financial reports and Group consolidation reports for management review
- Perform month-end closing and ensure accounting records are completed accurately and on time
- Review and analyse monthly financial accounts for companies within the Group
- Prepare and submit GST returns
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on billing, payments and other finance-related matters
- Maintain proper internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial records
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant authorities when required
(B) Client Accounting
- Handle full sets of accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounting records, including sales and purchase invoices, expenses, capital expenditure and staff claims
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and unaudited financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of audited financial statements and respond to audit queries
- Prepare and/or coordinate GST and corporate tax-related submissions
- Prepare and submit XBRL filings
- Manage assigned client accounts and ensure statutory and internal deadlines are met
- Liaise professionally with clients on accounting records, outstanding information and reporting matters
(C) Fund Administration Support
- Provide accounting and operational support for fund administration activities
- Assist in maintaining fund accounting records and transaction documentation
- Support periodic Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and related reporting
- Perform cash, bank and investment-related reconciliations
- Assist in recording subscriptions, redemption, fees, expenses and other fund transactions
- Support the preparation of periodic fund financial reports and investor-related reporting
- Maintain proper supporting documents and accounting records for fund administration purposes
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to accounting-related queries from auditors and other relevant parties
- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely completion of fund administration tasks
(D) General Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and professional standards
- Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of financial and client information
- Support the team on accounting, finance and fund administration matters as required
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Management from time to time
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA
- Preferably 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Able to handle full sets of accounts independently
- Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Experience in GST, corporate tax, XBRL preparation and filing
- Experience in Group consolidation will be an added advantage
- Exposure to fund accounting, fund administration, NAV calculation or investment reconciliation will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, proactive and able to work independently as well as within a team
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly salary: $3,000 β $4,500
- Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience
