Solar Installation Engineer

Responsibilities:

Conduct site assessments and energy audits to determine customers’ power needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.

Design and size solar power systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, cables and electrical protection devices.

Supervise and carry out solar installations, testing and commissioning, ensuring safe wiring, proper earthing and compliance with applicable electrical standards.

Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and perform preventive maintenance to keep solar systems operating efficiently.

Prepare technical reports and installation records, and train customers on safe system operation and basic maintenance.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years' proven experience with solar PV and battery storage system installations

Experience installing systems above 100kWp PV capacity and 261kWh battery storage capacity

Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills

Ability to supervise installation teams and deliver projects to specification

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field (mandatory)
