Responsibilities and duties

• Lead and monitor NPI projects from the kick off phase to the mass production ramp-up.
• Act as an interface between product engineering, quality, supplies, PCP, and manufacturing during the development of new products.
• Define and validate production processes, manufacturing routes, and workstations for new products.
• Specify, develop, and validate tooling, jigs, and assembly/test devices.
• Prepare and review technical documentation: BOM (Bill of Materials), process flowcharts, work instructions, process FMEA.
• Conduct DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) analyses in conjunction with product engineering.
• Manage engineering changes (ECO/ECN) and their impacts on the production line.
• Perform pilot tests, process capability, and line validation before the start of mass production.
• Investigate and conduct root cause analyses (RCA/8D/Ishikawa) on non-conformities identified during NPI.
• Use SAP for BOM control, production orders, materials management, and indicator reporting.
• Prepare project schedules, monitor milestones, and report status to internal stakeholders and, when applicable, to international customers/suppliers.
• Support product certification/homologation processes (e.g., Anatel) when applicable.
• Interact with suppliers and international areas in English, in technical meetings and project reviews.

Requirements and qualifications

Education: Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Production, or related fields). Postgraduate studies in Project Management or Production Engineering is a plus.

Technical Requirements (Knowledge)

• Products: knowledge of notebooks, tablets, and payment terminals (hardware, electronic components, and assembly process).
• Advanced English (reading, writing, and conversation for technical meetings).
• Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
