Senior Database Analyst - MongoDB

We are looking for a Senior MongoDB DBA Analyst to work both in daily maintenance and in new agile projects that serve all the company's verticals.

Responsibilities and duties

• Technical reference: Act as the company's MongoDB specialist, dictating best practices for use, architecture, and governance.
• Projects & Maintenance: Balance work on modernization projects (agile pipeline) with daily maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Articulation and Negotiation: Constantly interact with business areas, corporate architecture, and development teams, providing guidance on data modeling and scalability.
• Governance and Processes: Act in compliance with strict corporate governance processes, audits, and regulations (such as PCI).
• Scalable architecture: Design, review, and implement high availability and performance architectures (Replica Sets, Sharding, Multi-region environments).
• Performance: Perform advanced tuning of queries, indexes, and data structures.
• Automation and efficiency: Develop administration routines using tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.) for automation and standardization.
• Monitoring and Continuity: Ensure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and proactive monitoring policies (Ops Manager, Prometheus, Grafana).

Requirements and qualifications

• Experience working as a MongoDB DBA (Senior level).
• Practical mastery of MongoDB Enterprise and/or MongoDB Atlas.
• Deep knowledge of high availability architectures (Replication, Sharding) and Performance Tuning.
• Previous experience in mission-critical environments with extremely high data volumes that require strong technical governance.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, persuasion skills, and an articulating profile to negotiate solutions with different areas (architecture, infrastructure, development, and business).
• Experience with agile methodologies (sprint deliveries).
• Technical English (reading and writing).

• MongoDB Certifications (MongoDB Certified DBA / Developer Associate).
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of other NoSQL databases (Redis, Cassandra, etc.).
