About the opportunity

We are building RIVERS 100, an initiative powered by PHEN to build 100 active, value-driven communities across Rivers State.

These communities will bring people together around different interests, industries, professions, hobbies and lifestyles.

We are currently launching our first communities, including:

  • Rivers Laundry Community
  • Rivers AgriTech Club
  • Rivers Horse Riders Club
  • Rivers Tourism Club
  • Rivers Christian Book Club

We are looking for passionate people who want to help build and lead one of these communities from the ground up.

What you’ll do

As a Community Manager, you will:

  • Lead and grow your assigned community
  • Welcome and engage members
  • Coordinate community activities and events
  • Work with the community’s content and social media team
  • Build relationships among members
  • Help recruit new members
  • Identify opportunities and partnerships
  • Maintain a positive and active community culture
  • Report community activities and progress to the RIVERS 100 team

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to have managed a large community before.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Good with people
  • Organised and reliable
  • A strong communicator
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp and social media
  • Interested in building communities
  • Able to commit time consistently
  • Passionate about at least one of the communities we’re building

Previous community management experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
