Middle Office Analyst
Location: City Centre, Manchester Contract Type: 12 Months ( 4 days onsite ) Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a dedicated Middle Office Analyst to join their dynamic team in the heart of Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring seamless operations within the middle office function of the organisation. - Perform crucial collateral administrative duties for middle office clients, encompassing: - Reconciliation of traded positions - Margin call, margin movement, and margin settlement - Issue and dispute resolution
Complete reconciliation for collateral clients, including unmatched and failed cash/trade activity. This will involve direct engagement with clients and brokers to ensure timely investigation and resolution. Support clients in overseeing and monitoring collateral activity, ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation when required. Prepare and provide accurate reporting in line with broker and client requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to queries in a professional, timely, and service-focused manner. Investigate, manage, and resolve complex lending-related and trade-related queries, exceptions, and operational issues. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and overall team performance. Participate in ongoing training and development activities to maintain technical knowledge and strengthen capability, ensuring the team operates at peak effectiveness.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess:
A strong background in financial services, particularly in middle office operations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client service. A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements. The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
