Mechanical Engineer (M/F)

Job Description:

For this position, you have proven experience in mechanical design within the field of processes and equipment operating in high nuclear activity environments.

Reporting to Project Managers or the Mechanical Business Leader, your missions will be as follows:

1- You carry out, verify, and/or manage design studies during the feasibility, preliminary design (APS), and detailed design (APD) phases (Functional analysis and collection of basic data; Definition of the mechanical process: synoptics and operating notes, definition of maintenance principles, failure analysis, flow analysis, data for control development; Definition of mechanical equipment: managing the design of equipment by mechanical drafters (3D CAD Solidworks), verification of guide drawings, equipment drawings; bills of materials, drafting of descriptive notes; Preparation of specifications for the manufacturing of mechanical equipment and the outsourcing of studies; Definition of interfaces and coordination with other disciplines (process, safety, ventilation, civil engineering); 2- You intervene to support the monitoring of the manufacturing of designed equipment (Triggering and monitoring of supplier studies: Validation of documents (drawings, notes); Monitoring of procurement, manufacturing, and factory assembly; Monitoring of factory acceptance tests; Monitoring of assembly and on-site testing, including during operation; Management of modifications, supplier files, and feedback; Consultation of other disciplines for support (mainly safety, electricity, control-command, materials, and structural dimensioning). For all your missions, you will provide your technical expertise to the Project teams and within the business unit.

Profile Description:

With a degree from a generalist engineering school (Master's level) or an equivalent university background, you have oriented yourself towards the mechanical design of processes and equipment in hostile or severe environments.

You have more than 10 years of experience in mechanical system design. Knowledge of fuel cycle installations, processes, and equipment is strongly desired.

Technical Skills:

Through your experience, you can demonstrate your ability to: Study mechanical processes and equipment of the special machine type; Produce or verify various mechanical engineering deliverables; Support and technically assist teams in your field of expertise; Respond to calls for tender; Work with suppliers.

You are proficient in the MS-office suite, including MS-Excel.

You have knowledge of CAD software.

Behavioral Skills: Autonomous, rigorous, curious, synthesis skills, strong interest in technical studies, pedagogical.

For this position, proficiency in English is required.

Occasional travel to France and internationally is to be expected.

This position is based at the Saint Quentin en Yvelines site, an establishment subject to administrative inquiry and security clearance.
