For the Polizeipräsidium Essen, we are looking for Digital Financial Investigators (m/f/d) Pay group EG 12 TV-L / Salary group A 12 LBesO A NRW Immediately in part-time or full-time Digital financial investigations follow the money trail. They uncover connections between perpetrators, criminal networks, and organizations, and support the investigation of asset and corruption offenses as well as crimes of terrorism, economic crime, and organized crime.

Money is the engine of crime! The Polizei NRW is expanding its digital financial investigations – with a focus on Organized Crime and terrorism financing. With expert employees, we are creating a competence circle to uncover digital financial flows. We track incriminated crypto assets, freeze illegal assets, and track transactions on the Blockchain. Furthermore, the fight against Organized Crime and terrorism financing is intended to become even more successful in the future through close networking of both areas of responsibility. For this, we are looking for two civil servants A 11/ A 12 LBesO A NRW or government employees (EG 12) for the Polizeipräsidium Essen.

What you bring to the role: Career changers or government employees (m/f/d) You have a successfully completed degree in the field of banking and finance, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Wirtschaftskriminalistik or Wirtschaftswissenschaften, especially with study content regarding new financial transfer possibilities.

Administrative civil servants (m/f/d) You are in the LG 2.1[1] in the salary group A 12 LBesO A NRW or the salary group A 11 LBesO A NRW and fulfill the career law requirements for a promotion to A 12 LBesO A NRW[2] and furthermore have a successfully completed degree in the field of administrative or economic sciences with a focus on banking or finance, especially with study content regarding new financial transfer possibilities.

Civil servants of a special specialization (m/f/d) You are in the LG 2.1 in the salary group A 12 LBesO A NRW or the salary group A 11 LBesO A NRW and fulfill the career law requirements for a promotion to A 12 LBesO A NRW[2] and furthermore have a successfully completed degree in the field of administrative or economic sciences with a focus on banking or finance, especially with study content regarding new financial transfer possibilities.

What we wish for you

• In-depth specialist knowledge in the field of virtual currency, Blockchain and Distributed-Ledger-Technologie
• English skills (at least level B 2)
• Basic knowledge in the field of data analysis
• Several years of professional experience in the field of Compliance and/or FinTech, ideally in the field of combating financial crime
• Experience in conducting training and in project work

A prerequisite for the assignment of the activity is a prior security clearance according to the Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz NRW. In this process, information regarding the spouse or life partner will also be collected and included in the security clearance.
