What you’ll do
We are seeking a Compliance Officer in Singapore to focus on supporting Canvas FRG, a primary research group within Point72. In this role, you will work closely with the USand UK Canvas Compliance team as we expand the team to Asia. Specifically, you will:
- Be the main point of contact for compliance related items for Canvas Research Analysts in Asia
- Chaperone consultant calls for CanvasResearch Analysts and document accordingly
- Monitor and notate chaperoned calls in proprietarycompliance management system, track consultants to ensure appropriate chaperonecoverage
- Conduct on-boarding due diligence ofnew consultants to Canvas FRG, LLC and annual re-reviews
- Monitor communications between Canvas ResearchAnalyst interactions with discretionary investment professionals
- Facilitate quarterly invoicing andpayment with the Finance department in compliance with applicable data privacylaw
- Participate in insider dealing/insider tradingissues training for Canvas Research Analysts
- Brainstorm and implement ideas forenhancing compliance oversight improvement and more efficient processes
- Monitor and stay current on applicable regionallaws, regulatory initiatives, and case law in Asia jurisdictions
- Recommend and draft enhancements to existingpolicies and procedures
What’s required
- 1-4years of compliance experience in the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of MAS and other Asia regulatory environments
- Fluencyin English and Mandarin due to coverage
- Keen attentionto detail
- Someone whois highly organized, process driven, and structured with the ability to workindependently
- Ability tojuggle multiple priorities under pressure, prioritize tasks and see eachthrough to completion
- Exceptional communicationand interpersonal skills
