BUNKER TRADER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Be responsible for bunkers trading including MGO, VLSFO, HSFO and other marine fuels, covering market research, procurement, sales and risk management.

Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, vessel operators, bunker suppliers, physical suppliers and other maritime counterparties.

Identify new customers and business opportunities in Singapore and regional markets.

Monitor global crude oil prices and shipping market trends, formulate procurement & sales strategies and execute hedging against price risks.

Negotiate, implement and settle trading contracts to secure safe capital turnover and physical cargo flow.

Analyze trading data, optimize operational procedures and improve overall profit margin.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience with solid knowledge of MGO/VLSFO/HSFO marine bunkers market.
• Possess risk hedging awareness and supplier development competency; capable of independently handling full-cycle trading operations.
• Familiar with international refined oil trading practices, settlement terms and relevant laws & regulations.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
• Strong capability in data analysis and sharp market acumen.
• Ability to work independently and develop new business.
• Existing relationships with shipowners, operators, customers or other marine-industry counterparties are advantageous.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
