Your Tasks
- Performing high-speed characterization measurements in the GHz range on TFLN-PICs and photodiodes
- Performing experimental verifications and statistical analyses to determine performance parameters
- Development, setup, and optimization of optical and RF test setups including probe station configuration and calibration
- Development of Python, LabVIEW, and MATLAB tools for measurement automation, data acquisition, and data analysis
- Participation in hybrid photodiode-PIC integration from design coordination to validation and packaging
- Feeding measurement results back into design, manufacturing, and technology roadmap
- Planning and prioritization of characterization campaigns
- Coordination of external suppliers, service providers, and research partners
- Mentoring junior engineers and technicians in testing, data acquisition, and analysis
- Ensuring laboratory safety and documentation of methods, code, and results
Your Profile
- Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, photonics, or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience in industry or research, including at least one year in high-speed photonic testing in the GHz range
- Knowledge of LNOI device physics and applications in high-speed modulation, detection, and RF signal integrity
- Practical experience with TFLN, photodiode characterization, and hybrid photonic-electronic integration
- Experience with VNAs, high-speed oscilloscopes, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, RF probes, and tunable lasers
- Knowledge of calibration procedures for optical and RF systems
- Very good Python skills; LabVIEW and MATLAB skills are an advantage
- Experience with PIC testing, probe station measurements, optical alignment, and optoelectronic commissioning
- Very good English skills
- German skills are an advantage
