Your tasks

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and coordinate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) based on structural and reinforcement drawings.
  2. Review structural drawings and reinforcement details to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  3. Calculate reinforcement bar quantities, lengths, shapes and weights.
  4. Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, QS and subcontractors on reinforcement requirements.
  5. Identify discrepancies in drawings and clarify technical issues with the relevant parties.
  6. Prepare BBS submissions and revisions according to project requirements.
  7. Monitor reinforcement steel usage and minimise material wastage.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  1. Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in BBS preparation within the construction industry.
  3. Able to read and interpret structural and reinforcement drawings.
  4. Familiar with reinforcement detailing, bar shapes and cutting lists.
  5. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  6. Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  7. Good communication and coordination skills.
