CNC Programmer / CNC Operator

Do you have several years of experience in CNC machining and are accustomed to independently programming, preparing, and finding solutions for complex parts? Cliff Models is now seeking an experienced CNC Operator/CNC Programmer who wants to work with unique assignments, advanced machining, and great variation in everyday life.

CNC Operator As a CNC Operator/CNC Programmer at Cliff Models, you will have a qualified and independent role where you work with the entire process – from analyzing customer documentation and planning production to programming, machining, and follow-up.

Unlike traditional series production, Cliff Models works largely with unique assignments. This means you need to be able to assess how a part is best manufactured, choose an appropriate machining strategy, and independently program based on the documentation you receive.

You will work with, among other things:

• CNC programming and preparation
• Planning of machining strategies and method selection
• Design and adaptation of fixtures
• Rigging, setup, and operation of machines
• Control and monitoring of production
• Quality control and follow-up of finished parts
• Problem-solving and optimization of the manufacturing process

You will work with both traditional machine tools, advanced freeform equipment, and 5-axis CNC machines. Since the assignments vary, you will collaborate closely with colleagues regarding technical solutions, while also being expected to drive your own work independently from documentation to finished part.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday 06:30–15:30, with the possibility of flexibility.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have already built up good experience in CNC machining and programming and who feel confident in independently taking on new manufacturing assignments.

You are accustomed to working from drawings, models, or other technical documentation and can translate them into a functioning manufacturing process. You need to be able to think beyond the machine operation itself – analyze the assignment, plan the setup, program, and solve the technical challenges that arise along the way.

About Cliff Models For over 25 years, Cliff Models has built up strong competence in design, models, and preparation of tools, primarily for the automotive industry. Since 2010, the company has been run by former employees who chose to further develop the business.

The driving force is problem-solving and creating unique solutions based on the customer's needs. The business works with a variety of different materials, for example wood, clay, rubber, hard plastics, carbon and glass fiber, acrylic, and nylon.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in CNC machining
• Good experience in CNC programming and preparation
• Ability to independently plan and execute machining based on technical documentation
• Good understanding of cutting processes, tool selection, and machining strategies
• B-driver's license
• Read and speak English
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Meritous

• Experience with Autodesk PowerMill
• Experience with 5-axis CNC machining
• Experience with advanced milling and complex geometries
• Experience from the machine shop, model, or automotive industry
• Experience in fixture design
