HR Business Partner
We’re partnering with a leading retail business to recruit an experienced People Partner to join its growing People team.
This is a broad, hands-on partnering role, working closely with senior leaders and managers across Head Office to deliver both strategic and operational people support. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to your client groups, helping to drive performance, engagement and talent while ensuring people practices are consistent, commercially focused and legally compliant.
You’ll partner closely with leaders and managers across your business areas, building strong relationships and developing a genuine understanding of their commercial priorities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing proactive, commercially focused HR advice and coaching to managers and senior stakeholders
- Managing a broad range of employee relations matters, including conduct, capability and attendance
- Supporting performance management and helping managers build high-performing teams
- Developing and delivering people plans aligned to business priorities
- Leading talent mapping and succession planning across your client groups
- Using engagement and exit data to identify trends and shape people initiatives
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development on recruitment, retention and development
- Supporting annual compensation, reward and benchmarking activity
- Using people data and insights to influence decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contributing to wider People team projects and initiatives
We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist or People Partner who enjoys being close to the business and is confident operating in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or similar generalist role
- Strong employee relations experience and a good working knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience within retail, fashion, hospitality or another fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and coaching skills
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance business priorities with a people-focused approach
- Strong analytical skills and confidence using people data to inform decisions
- An organised, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
