Mechanical Project Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work in Extrema/MG under a PJ contract regime for 12 months. Responsibilities and duties Act as support to the Project Manager regarding Engineering demands during the execution of Construction and Assembly works; Perform field surveys; Generate utility and process flowcharts based on information collected from the various areas involved in the Project; Develop and generate layouts, plans, sections, elevations, 3D modeling, material lists, and other details for assembly execution; Prepare Descriptive Memorandums for the contracting of services and acquisition of equipment; Define and elaborate, together with the Project Manager, the procedures and criteria for supervising the activities of contractors; Continuously inspect works on-site regarding execution according to the "Released for Construction" engineering projects, ensuring that no project change is made without the proper drafting and approval process; Determine the needs for any area isolations, temporary fencing, and other items that may facilitate the continuous operation of the plant; Issue Non-Conformance Reports for services executed in disagreement with the project and/or pre-established procedures, requiring the appropriate action plan for correction and measures to prevent recurrence; Perform Work Clearances; Schedule and conduct weekly coordination meetings on-site to promote interfaces with contractors and identify possible interferences in construction works; Ensure that contractors are always using the valid revision of construction drawings and that they have all the necessary information to perform their tasks; Continuously evaluate the number of workers available, as well as the infrastructure used by contractors for the execution of the work within the desired timeframe and quality; Supervise and ensure the correct application of internal standards, respecting safety, environment, and health in the activities of the contractors; Lead follow-up meetings with various areas, clients, and suppliers, managing all interfaces involved in the action plan for services and equipment; Participate in meetings to analyze physical progress of the work weekly with the objective of meeting the technical requirements and specifications of the project and/or plant; Report weekly on the progress of activities under your responsibility, and during execution, prepare a report on the project evolution.

Requirements and qualifications Higher Education in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering; Proven experience in inspection and supervision of industrial construction and assembly activities; Previous experience in industrial projects, especially in a manufacturing environment; Experience in monitoring electromechanical assembly; Practical knowledge of the tools: Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk 3D Plant; Mastery in contract management focused on construction and assembly; Advanced use of MS Project (essential requirement); Familiarity with the Office Package; Reside in the Extrema/MG region or nearby regions.
