Service Advisor

Location: Woking, Surrey Salary: £34,000-£40,000 per year, depending on experience Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday Weekends: No weekend working

Planet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor to join a well-established and successful automotive business in Woking.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants to be part of a friendly, professional team.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring vehicles are booked in, repairs are authorised and customers are kept informed throughout the process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Welcoming and advising customers
• Booking vehicles into the workshop
• Discussing repairs and preparing estimates
• Obtaining customer authorisation
• Liaising with technicians and monitoring vehicle progress
• Ordering parts and managing workshop workflow
• Updating customers throughout the repair
• Preparing invoices and processing payments
• Managing loan vehicles and workshop bookings
• Maintaining accurate customer records

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Organised and able to prioritise effectively
• Confident working in a busy environment
• Professional, reliable and approachable
• Comfortable using computer systems
• A good problem solver with strong attention to detail
• Able to work well as part of a close-knit team

Motor trade experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates with strong customer service, hospitality, retail, recruitment or other transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
