Senior IT & AV Engineer

Role: Senior IT & AV Engineer (Educational sector) Location: Cambridge Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Hours 8:30am - 4:30pm ? Profile Our clients IT Services Department is seeking an experienced Senior IT & AV Engineer to join their growing IT Team. Working closely with the IT Manager you will need to have strong communication skills as you will be talking to people at all levels and will need to communicate effectively. The role requires the right candidate to have strong technical skills with experience of designing, implementing, and maintaining IT key infrastructure and network systems whilst having strong AV experience. Having previously worked in an educational environment would be a massive plus for this position. Key Responsibilities Act as a senior point of contact for IT and AV support to staff, students, Fellows and College guests, providing expert technical advice, troubleshooting and resolution across a broad range of systems and services. Provide day-to-day technical guidance and co-ordination for other members of the support team, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents and helping to maintain consistent standards of service delivery. Provide specialist technical administration, maintenance, development and support across the College's IT infrastructure and services, including: wired and wireless network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, VLANs, network configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting; network services including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and associated infrastructure services; network performance, resilience and security, including the investigation and resolution of complex connectivity and Wi-Fi issues; If this position is of interest, then please apply ASAP.
