About the company
We are recruiting a dedicated, caring, and qualified Nursery 1 Teacher on behalf of a reputable private school in Ketu-Ikosi, Lagos.
Your tasks
The successful candidate will create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages young children’s early academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Teach foundational skills in phonics, early literacy, numeracy, handwriting, and general knowledge.
- Use stories, songs, games, and creative activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
- Monitor pupils’ learning and developmental progress and provide individual support where necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly classroom.
- Encourage good manners, confidence, communication, and positive behaviour.
- Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about pupils’ progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management to support teaching standards and school activities.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Education or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Nursery or Early Years education.
- Good knowledge of phonics, early childhood education, and play-based learning.
- Strong communication, lesson planning, and classroom management skills.
- A patient, creative, organised, and responsible approach to teaching.
- Professionalism, punctuality, and a genuine interest in children’s development.

Salary: ₦100,000 monthly
