Tailor

Responsibilities:

Cut and sew garments according to measurements, designs, and specifications.

Take accurate body measurements and ensure proper garment fitting.

Handle garment construction from cutting through to final finishing.

Produce neat and professional stitches, hems, seams, zippers, buttons, and other finishing details.

Carry out alterations and adjustments when required.

Work with different fabrics and garment styles.

Ensure all completed outfits meet the required quality standards.

Complete assigned orders within agreed production deadlines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Properly care for and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring equipment.

Minimize fabric wastage and use materials efficiently.

Identify and correct sewing or fitting issues before garments are delivered.

Work collaboratively with other members of the production team.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2–3 years of practical tailoring experience.

Strong cutting and sewing skills.

Ability to take accurate measurements and achieve good garment fitting.

Good knowledge of garment finishing techniques.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Ability to meet deadlines and production targets.

Good work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Must be able to conveniently commute to Badore, Ajah. Experience with ready-to-wear, women's clothing, traditional outfits, casual wear, or bespoke garments will be an advantage. Candidates should be prepared to provide pictures/videos of previous work and may be required to complete a practical sewing test during the selection process. The successful candidate will work in a professional fashion environment with opportunities to develop their skills and take on additional responsibilities based on performance.
