The HYDE PARK Piping Kettle on the corner of Hyde Park and Gainsborough (1600 Hyde Park Rd, Unit 6) is looking to hire for an assistant manager position. This position requires you to work in a very fast paced busy restaurant environment where you are on your feet your entire shift. Duties of the job include organizing a team of employees, submitting product orders, supporting training and development of new employees, fostering a fun, welcoming and productive work environment. You will also be greeting and serving customers in a fast and friendly manner, operating a POS system and handling cash, following a daily checklist of cleaning, organizing, stocking, and prepping, closing down the store, and completing any additional tasks as required. Good candidates will show up to work with a great attitude, will posses the ability to take initiative on tasks, understand food safety, have excellent food presentation, be very reliable, and enjoy to work in a customer service role. The shifts will include days, evenings, and weekends. Please specify if you have a shift preference and if you are looking for full time, part time, or are open to both. Previous restaurant experience is required. Food Handler's Certificate is required. Wage is based on experience starting at $20/hr, up to $24/hr, increases occur based on performance and addition of responsibility. We also offer tips and staff meals.
