Job Summary

This role supports audit managers and partners by executing audit procedures, preparing financial statements, and assisting with tax computations, contributing to high-quality audit and assurance services.

Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in audit planning meetings to align on audit objectives and scope
  • Execute audit procedural tests under guidance, including walk-throughs, sampling, internal control compliance, substantive account testing, analytical reviews, and physical verification such as year-end inventory counts
  • Prepare and complete audit working papers and audit programmes to document audit evidence and findings
  • Draft financial statements and related reports following Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, including engagement letters, management letters, and audit adjustment proposals
  • Prepare draft tax computations or review estimated tax computations to support audit requirements
  • Compile financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, including cash flow statements
  • Develop proficiency in using Caseware audit software to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy
  • Apply skills in performing audit tests and documenting audit workpapers to ensure audit quality
  • Enhance oral and business writing communication skills for effective client and team interactions
  • Build expertise in producing quality financial statement reports aligned with regulatory standards
  • Apply knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting

Technical Skills and Competencies will learn:

a) Knowledge & skills in using Caseware audit software b) Skill in performing audit tests & documentation of audit workpapers c) Improve communication skills – oral & business writing d) Develop quality financial statements reporting skill e) Knowledge & application of Financial Reporting Standards

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree or professional qualification equivalent to a degree, or finalist status in professional accounting certification
  • Minimum 3 years of Singapore auditing experience in a sizable firm
