Civil/ Structural Engineering Graduate Intern

Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and reviewing structural designs for buildings, infrastructure, and other civil engineering works under the supervision of senior engineers. Support the preparation of structural drawings, design models, and technical documentation. Conduct basic structural analysis using recognized design codes and standards (e.g., British Standards, Eurocode). Contribute to evaluating design loads, material specifications, and construction methods to support structural integrity and cost-effective solutions. Provide technical support during construction activities by helping address site queries, modifications, and structural concerns.

Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution Must have completed NYSC Basic knowledge of structural design principles and engineering standards. Familiarity with structural design software such as PROKON, STAAD Pro, PROTA, TEKLA, CADS, AutoCAD, or Revit Structure (working knowledge is an added advantage). Interest in applying recognized design codes (British Standards, Eurocode, etc.) in real project scenarios. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Membership in professional engineering bodies (e.g., NSE, NIStructE, COREN student membership) is an added advantage but not mandatory. Good communication, teamwork skills, and readiness to work in a fast-paced project environment.
