Assistant Accounts Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assistant Accounts Manager to join our Finance team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing full-set accounts, supporting financial reporting and analysis, ensuring statutory compliance, and partnering with stakeholders to support business operations and decision-making. This role offers exposure to multiple entities within the Group and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts and ensure timely month-end, half-yearly and year-end financial closing.
- Handle accounting and reporting for multiple entities within the Group, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidation support.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, including financial analysis, variance commentary, and key performance indicators.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, working closely with business stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax and annual audit requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and regulatory authorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Support finance transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives where applicable.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full-set accounting and multiple entities.
- Prior audit experience is advantageous.
- Good understanding of Singapore accounting, taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial results and explain variances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/accounting systems.
- Self-motivated, meticulous and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Immediate availability or short notice period will be an advantage.
