We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Pharmasave High Prairie. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. Your contributions will be vital in promoting health and wellness within our community.
*Responsibilities*
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring timely reordering as needed.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
*Requirements*
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent experience required. Registration required with ACP.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an asset.
