Key Account Manager – Pharma
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Key Account Manager with a proven track record specifically within Pharmaceutical Distribution companies . The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in managing and growing Key Accounts (pharmacy chains, major institutions, and high-volume clients), driving sales targets, overseeing credit and debt collection, and leading distribution field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Management & Sales Operations (Pharma Distribution): Manage high-volume key accounts, hospital contracts, and pharmacy chains within the pharmaceutical distribution sector.
Translate company sales strategies into operational distribution plans, allocating targets across branches and key accounts.
Monitor client withdrawal rates and inventory movement to optimize stock fulfillment and sales quotas.
Conduct strategic field visits to activate dormant/inactive accounts and onboard new key accounts.
Commercial Agreements & Deal Structuring: Prepare, negotiate, and monitor commercial agreements/deals (Deals & Discounts) tailored for major clients according to distribution policies.
Address key account grievances promptly to ensure high retention and customer satisfaction rates.
Track and process return cycles, with special focus on near-expiry products according to distribution SOPs.
Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, credit terms, and distribution network performance.
Collection & Credit Control: Oversee and enforce debt collection processes across key accounts to ensure strict compliance with credit terms and timelines.
Coordinate daily/weekly with Finance regarding overdue balances, bounced cheques, and credit limits.
Supervise and organize field visit schedules for the account management team.
Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the Pharmaceutical Distribution sector, with direct hands-on experience in Key Account Management
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Skills & Competencies: In-depth understanding of distribution logistics, pharmacy chains, credit policies, and sales incentives in the Egyptian pharma market.
Strong commercial negotiation, credit management, and client relationship skills.
Computer Skills: Very Good proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/Sales management systems.
