Java Developer

(M/F) – Seixal The Petrotec Group is composed of a set of companies focused on the production, commercialization, and technical assistance of equipment and systems for the storage, distribution, and retail of the oil industry. The group has expanded its operations to innovative solutions aligned with a new era of mobility, such as Electric Mobility and Hydrogen. We are reinforcing our Systems Development team, at Petrotec - Inovação e Indústria, in Seixal, with a Java Developer.

The day-to-day of a Java Developer... Design of RESTful API solutions; Development of microservices using event-driven architecture (RabitMQ/ Kafka); Use of version control systems: Git, Mercurial or similar; Testing Framework: JUnit, Mockito or similar; Build automation: Maven, Graddle or similar.

What do we expect from you? Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering; More than 2 years of professional experience; Development experience in Java using Spring Framework (or Micronaut/ Quarkus); Experience in relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB); Development experience using Agile Methodologies (SCRUM) with continuous integration; Strong analytical capacity, information systematization, and problem-solving; Good communication and teamwork skills; Good knowledge of English.

We value... Programming knowledge in Kotlin or Go; Experience in services with authentication using JWT or OAuth; Knowledge of non-relational databases (Kibana, Elastic Search); Development experience using Git workflow; Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
