Logistics Supervisor

We are looking for a professional from the fields of Administration, Engineering, logistics, or related areas to join the PETRONAS Supply Chain team!

Responsibilities and assignments

• Execute and manage the branch's billing routines, ensuring adherence to the PLI procedure and maintaining continuous interface with the commercial team to comply with established norms and deadlines
• Update operational procedures and documentation together with the logistics operator for internal and external audit management.
• Act in partnership with the sales team to monitor logistics performance in the field. Responsible for diagnosing operational gaps and implementing action plans to ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Review area procedures, verifying and controlling updates to processes, operational methods, and changes in task execution, acting together with the PLI BRAZIL Quality team to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory accuracy levels through the implementation and supervision of cycle counts and the control of inflows and outflows, ensuring PLI BRAZIL's acceptable standards, product availability according to demand, and cost reduction.
• Control the annual inventory of finished products, following specific procedures and supervising the physical count, aiming to ensure material availability and cost reduction;
• Perform audits on third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure full compliance with service contracts, chemical product regulations, and standard operating procedures, aiming for operational excellence and the achievement of PLI BRASIL's KPIs.
• Supervise logistics operations in the Centro-Oeste region, focusing on the management of warehousing and transport processes;
• Act as the main point of contact between PETRONAS, customers, logistics operators, carriers, and other partners in the logistics chain;
• Develop and monitor initiatives aimed at increasing operational competitiveness and reducing lead time;
• Conduct customer visits together with the Commercial team, strengthening relationships and identifying improvement opportunities;
• Manage relationships with transport and warehousing suppliers, monitoring performance and service levels;
• Monitor logistics performance indicators, proposing and implementing continuous improvement actions;
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the handling and storage of chemical and hazardous products;
• Interact with internal areas such as Commercial, Finance, HSSE (Health, Safety, Process Safety, and Environment), and Supply Chain to ensure operational efficiency;
• Act with regulatory bodies when necessary, ensuring the compliance of local operations;
• Support projects for the expansion and development of the company's logistics network.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education in Administration, Engineering, logistics, or related areas;
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics operations, transport, warehousing, or Supply Chain;
• Knowledge of SAP, preferably in the SD module;
• Advanced Office Package, with strong mastery of Excel;
• Experience in managing and monitoring logistics performance indicators;
• Experience in dealing with logistics operators, carriers, and customers;
• Availability for occasional travel;
• Availability to undergo initial training and onboarding in Contagem/MG;
• Basic English.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Reside in Cuiabá/MT;
• Experience with distribution logistics operations;
• Knowledge in the handling and storage of chemical and/or hazardous products;
• Experience in logistics expansion projects or the implementation of new operations;
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the transport of chemical loads.
