Production Supervisor
Must-have:Lead
We are looking for a hands-on supervisor to oversee daily pet food production and manage outbound logistics. You will lead the production team to meet targets safely and ensure finished goods are loaded and shipped on time. This role splits time between the production floor and the loading dock.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise production staff (operators, packers) to meet daily schedules.
- Monitor equipment and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
- Track raw materials and packaging usage to reduce waste.
- Identify and fix production bottlenecks.
- Oversee loading of finished goods and verify loads against shipping documents.
- Schedule inbound/outbound drivers and ensure they follow site safety rules.
- Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Act as main contact for 3PL providers and drivers; resolve delays and discrepancies.
- Keep the loading dock and yard organized and safe.
Education & Experience
- 3–5 years supervisory experience in food or pet food manufacturing.
- Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or dispatch.
Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems and inventory control.
- Strong leadership and multitasking skills.
