Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Salary: £40,000 + DOE Job Type: Permanent / Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing Renewable Energy & Net Zero team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering sustainable infrastructure projects that support the transition to a low-carbon future. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of renewable energy and decarbonisation projects, from initial feasibility through to delivery and handover. This role will suit someone passionate about sustainability, with a strong track record in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy and net zero projects (e.g. solar, wind, EV infrastructure, energy efficiency initiatives)
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure successful delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors, and external partners
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and health & safety legislation
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
• Support business development activities including bid preparation and client engagement
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within renewable energy, sustainability, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong understanding of net zero strategies, ESG principles, and decarbonisation frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and project risk
• Knowledge of UK planning and regulatory processes (desirable)
• Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APM) preferred
