Visual Welding Inspector West London | 2 Days Per Week | 2-Month Assignment

We are currently recruiting for a Certified Visual Welding Inspector to support quality assurance activities on a busy construction site in West London. This is a temporary position offering 2 days per week for an initial 2-month contract, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector to work on a live construction project ensuring welding works meet the required standards and specifications.

Position Details

Location: West London Duration: 2 Months Working Pattern: 2 Days Per Week (Flexible days) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out visual inspections of welded joints and completed welding works.
• Identify and report welding defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
• Ensure welding activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Liaise with site managers, supervisors, welders, and contractors regarding inspection findings.
• Support quality assurance processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with site health and safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Certified Visual Welding Inspector qualification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proven experience inspecting welding works within the construction or structural steelwork sector.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Desirable

• Experience working on large commercial or infrastructure construction projects.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards and welding codes.
• Additional inspection or quality assurance certifications.
