Field-Based Chiller Engineer

£47,000 + Benefits | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

Personnel Selection are working on behalf of a globally recognised HVAC organisation providing specialist hire solutions across the UK and Europe. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced Field-Based Chiller Engineer to join their team, covering Andover and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional to work with a diverse range of equipment across a variety of industries, while developing their technical skills within an established engineering operation.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and decommissioning of HVAC equipment at customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Installing chillers in accordance with RAMS, including the running of hoses – this is a physically demanding role.
• Repairing equipment at customer sites and attending service breakdowns.
• Installing AC units and assisting with boiler installations during the winter season.
• Supporting the development of associated products to meet customer requirements and industry developments.
• Ordering stock for the depot and van to minimise delays and ensure essential parts are readily available.
• Carrying out depot-based work when there are no field assignments.
• Proactively identifying operational improvements, with a focus on cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
• Following all company systems, procedures and processes.
• Taking a proactive approach to health and safety and leading by example.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider service team.

About You

To be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar HVAC or refrigeration engineering role and be comfortable working independently in a field-based environment. You must be willing to travel throughout Andover and the surrounding areas.

Essential requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' commercial boiler experience
• F-Gas qualified
• CSCS Card
• Full, valid driving licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Flexible, approachable and committed to completing jobs to a high standard
• Well organised with a tidy and professional work ethic
• Strong IT skills and excellent administration
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to represent the company and its values professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public
