Development Engineer Test Technology – LabVIEW (m/f/d)

About the company

Do you want to develop test benches, improve existing test systems, and get to the bottom of technical errors? For our client in the aerospace industry, we are looking for reinforcement in test technology. In this role, you will combine hardware, software, and project work, ensuring that the test equipment functions reliably in production and after-sales.

Your tasks

• You independently plan and implement test bench projects, from new construction to the modernization of existing test systems, including cost estimation and cost tracking.
• You specify, procure, and integrate the required hardware and develop test software with LabVIEW.
• Together with development, you work out test concepts for new products and contribute requirements regarding their testability at an early stage.
• You analyze errors in complex electronic test systems, undertake maintenance and repair work, and develop sustainable improvements.
• You create technical specifications and CE-compliant documentation, perform risk analyses, and support hazard assessments.
• You evaluate project and operational data and use relevant key figures to improve the reliability and efficiency of the test systems.

Requirements

• You have completed a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, technical computer science, or a comparable field of study.
• You have very good LabVIEW knowledge and several years of programming experience, ideally in the development and maintenance of test systems. Other programming languages are a plus.
• You have experience in the error analysis of complex electronic systems and are familiar with analog and digital technology.
• You are familiar with the relevant standards, guidelines, and safety requirements in the testing environment. Experience in aerospace is an advantage.
• You can react flexibly to changing requirements and maintain an overview even during unplanned malfunctions.
• You are confident in using Windows and MS Office and have very good written and spoken English skills.
