Technical Superintendent

Brief Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Superintendent to oversee maintenance operations and ensure optimal performance for assigned vessels. This role is ideal for professionals with substantial experience in the maritime industry. Responsibilities: Report directly to the Fleet Manager and manage maintenance plans for assigned vessels. Monitor the execution of maintenance work based on the established plans. Evaluate onboard maintenance standards, including breakdown and defect management. Manage survey requirements and certificates for vessels. Address incidents and accidents, conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventive measures. Prepare for inspections and dry dockings, providing regular updates through written reports. Maintain updated vessel plans and manuals. Coordinate insurance repairs, including arrangements, costing, and attendance. Organize spares, stores, lubricants, and other necessary materials for vessels. Develop vessel budgets and provide ongoing updates for cost control. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, offering maintenance advice to vessels. Conduct vessel visits at scheduled intervals and submit related reports. Facilitate coordination between vessels and the office. Oversee daily performance monitoring of vessels. Implement team objectives and handle marine casualty management as per IMS. Conduct evaluations of crew on board assigned vessels. Requirements: Possession of Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency. Minimum of 2 years LNG/LPG sailing experience at a management level or 2 years of experience as a superintendent. Comprehensive understanding of Dual Fuel Engines, LNG cargo containment, and handling systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
