System Software Engineer

Brief Summary: Join a dynamic team as a Software Engineer focusing on the development of simulation platforms and validation methods for mobile robot fleets in manufacturing and logistics. Contribute to innovative projects driving advancements in automation and robotics. Responsibilities: Design and develop software modules for simulating manufacturing and logistics systems with mobile robot fleets. Create modular and reusable simulation components for deployment across various operational environments. Develop data pipelines, APIs, and connectors for seamless integration with industrial systems and automation platforms. Apply concepts of simulation, including event-driven systems and state machine modelling, to accurately reflect operational behaviors. Support the development of digital twin models and assess sim-to-real fidelity across robot fleets and logistics systems. Work with simulation engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim to build and validate digital twins. Define test cases, acceptance criteria, and performance metrics for sim-to-real validation. Assist with technical documentation and requirements during engineering reviews. Collaborate effectively with teams across robotics, automation, and software domains. Prepare technical materials for internal stakeholders and management. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 3 years in professional software engineering with a focus on simulation or real-time systems. Proficiency in programming with Python and/or C++. Experience in developing maintainable software, APIs, and simulation applications. Understanding of key simulation concepts including event-driven systems and rigid-body mechanics. Familiarity with simulation frameworks such as Unity, Gazebo, and Omniverse. Experience in digital twin development and sim-to-real workflows. Knowledge of SQL, data schemas, and data-quality validation processes. Understanding of communication protocols like REST APIs and MQTT. Experience with robot simulation and integration with automation platforms. Capable of effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
