Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for supporting the Group’s financial reporting, accounting standards, governance and finance transformation agenda. The incumbent will oversee Group closing and reporting activities, strengthen accounting and sustainability reporting governance, and drive initiatives relating to ESG data, Oracle Fusion optimization and the transition of selected activities to the Regional Shared Services Centre (RSC).

  1. To be part of the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery for the following reporting activities:-
  • Manage and coordinate Group closing timelines and activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Review monthly closing of subsidiary accounts, reconciliations and financial schedules.
  • Oversee and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs.
  • Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for Group financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly materials for Audit Committee and Board meeting.
  • Liaise with external auditor for review and audit of financial statements and SGX announcements.
  1. To provide support and assistance for strengthening Group financial reporting governance and control framework:-
  • Monitor developments in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) (SFRS(I)) and other relevant reporting requirements, conduct technical accounting research, and assess the implications for the Group.
  • Develop, review and maintain Group accounting policies, guidelines and procedures, and review localised policies and procedures to ensure alignment with Group requirements.
  • Evaluate and identify areas for process improvement in financial reporting activities and implement process change to drive efficiency, reduce redundancy and optimise end-to-end processes.
  1. To provide support and assistance for ESG data for Sustainability Reporting:-
  • Strengthen ESG data governance, controls and data quality; assess longer-term solutions to improve ESG data collection processes and efficiency; and support the closure of gaps against the applicable Sustainability Disclosure Standards to enhance the Group’s readiness for full compliance by 2028.
  1. To provide support and assistance for Oracle Fusion:-
  • Support post-implementation optimization of Oracle Fusion, including improvements to workflows, SOPs, reporting templates and financial statement reporting processes, while ensuring business continuity and knowledge retention as the project transitions to operations.

Support the transition of selected activities to RSC, including parallel runs, issue resolution and stabilization; develop revised workflows and SOPs; establish effective review and oversight mechanisms; and participate in projects, UAT and data reconciliation activities as assigned.

Skills/Requirement:

  • Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with a recognized professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in Group financial reporting, consolidation, accounting advisory, external audit or finance transformation, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Demonstrate sound technical knowledge of SFRS(I)/IFRS and experience in the preparation or review of consolidated and statutory financial statements.
  • Have experience in developing or reviewing accounting policies, procedures, financial controls and governance frameworks.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have experience in finance systems implementation or optimization, UAT, data migration or reconciliation; experience with Oracle Fusion or a comparable ERP platform would be an advantage.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders across Finance, business functions, subsidiaries, shared services teams, auditors and other external parties.
