IoT Engineer

Brief Summary:

• Develop and maintain industrial connectivity solutions across IoT platforms, PLCs, sensors, robots and gateways.
• Build reliable data pipelines and edge applications while supporting system testing, monitoring, security and operational stability.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot connectivity, latency and data-quality issues across devices, interfaces and platforms.
• Develop and maintain device connectivity for sensors, PLCs, robots and gateways.
• Implement data-ingestion pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and execute interfaces connecting PLCs with pipelines, databases and socket-based systems.
• Configure, deploy and enhance Docker containers for applications hosted in private-cloud environments.
• Support device provisioning, configuration and monitoring.
• Write reliable and testable code for edge applications, device adapters and basic backend services.
• Collaborate with field engineers to define interface requirements and support pipeline testing, monitoring and optimisation.
• Work with software developers, database administrators and server engineers to deliver assigned features.
• Follow established architecture, security and coding standards while maintaining data accuracy and system stability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of hands-on experience with PLCs and IoT platforms.
• Demonstrated experience designing, configuring and operating PLC systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA and industrial communication protocols, including OPC UA, S7, TCP, UDP, Ethernet, Modbus and PROFINET.
• Experience with IoT platforms and technologies, including Siemens PLCs, PTC Kepware, PTC ThingWorx and Linux.
• Technical proficiency in PowerShell, Bash and comparable scripting environments.
• Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS and database management technologies, including Oracle, Tibero and SQL.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with C#, Java, Spring Boot and Vue.js.
