Automation Tester (Banking / 6 month renewable contract)
Role Overview Perform hands-on automation testing using an existing Selenium-based automation framework.
Maintain and execute automated test scripts in both local and CI (Jenkins) environments.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance existing Selenium automation test scripts within an established framework.
Execute and validate automation scripts locally before running in the CI environment.
Run automated test scripts via Jenkins for regression and execution cycles.
Debug automation failures by analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and independently fixing script issues.
Ensure automation scripts are stable and executable in both local and Jenkins environments.
Support regression automation execution and assist in LV automation activities where required.
Contribute to improvements of the existing automation framework, including script refactoring, enhancing stability, and reducing flaky tests.
Work closely with stakeholders and regional teams to resolve automation issues.
Ensure proper documentation of test cases, scripts, and execution results.
Support continuous improvement of automation test coverage.
Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience in Selenium automation scripting with the ability to maintain and modify existing scripts.
Ability to debug automation failures and independently interpret error logs.
Basic to intermediate programming and scripting skills in Java, Python, VBA, or similar languages.
Working knowledge of Jenkins for test execution and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Git or Bitbucket for version control.
Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Nice to Have Exposure to CI/CD concepts.
Experience with Playwright or UFT.
Understanding of trade or financial systems testing.
Ability to contribute to automation framework improvements through refactoring or enhancements.
